What does Scenar do?
Scenar treatment is very effective for pain relief and for speeding recovery from injury and operation. Certain treatments target the endocrine system, helping to regulate the production and release of hormones: this is useful in cases of stress, impotence, menstrual problems, depression and others. Treatments in the abdomen/lower back area also help restore the healthy functioning of the digestive system: useful for IBS, constipation, candida overgrowth, colitis and symptoms caused by allergies.
What is the Scenar?
The Scenar is a bio-feedback device first developed by the Russians during the space-race programme of the 1980’s. It is in wide use in Russia’s clinics, hospitals and GP services. Now it has been licensed for use in the UK and a small number of practitioners have been trained and registered to use it.
How does it work?
Its unique signal/response pattern means that in the hands of an experienced practitioner it is used in both diagnosis and treatment. It works on differences in the electrical potential of the skin surface and alters its signal to prompt the underlying tissue to rebalance, bringing healing. It forces the body to recognise where there is imbalance and so direct attention and energy to the area.
Give me some examples!
A severe ankle sprain was painful, swollen and purple with bruising. After just 2 treatments the pain and swelling was gone and it was strong enough to take weight.
A frozen shoulder was painful and movement was limited to a very restricted range. It took just 5 sessions to stop the pain and restore a full range of movement.
A client presented with a very old whiplash injury and recent depression. After 3 sessions the depression was gone and it took a further 3 to clear up the whiplash.
Is treatment suitable for everyone?
If you have a pacemaker fitted you cannot be treated with Scenar. If you are pregnant or have epilepsy we will check with your medical practitioner first. If you have been diagnosed with any form of cancer we cannot work directly on the area, but can provide treatments that help to stimulate the immune system and improve your general health. Otherwise it is suitable for young and old: by adjusting the power settings on the device we can work at a level that is comfortable for you.
What happens in a session?
At the first session we will take a case history and find out what you want to achieve. After that each session will be different depending upon your progress and the symptoms that present. Typically we will work ‘locally’ on the area of complaint, and also ‘generally’ on one of the regulatory zones that stimulate the whole body into action. A good example of this is the Autonomic Nervous System protocol which uses the machine’s variable settings to stimulate essential body functions to work at the optimum. This can really help to re-set a difficult sleep pattern and to get the immune system working efficiently.
If you are struggling to get over an injury or coping with a chronic health problem, consider trying Scenar: it finds ways of stimulating the body to respond that no other treatment can.
