Hair Mineral Analysis
Product Information
CONCERN OVER TOXIC EXPOSURE, EXTREME FATIGUE, THYROID DISORDERS, INFERTILITY
Hair is unique in its ability to concentrate divalent cations because of its high sulphur amino acids content. These act as strong binding sites for many essential toxic elements. Toxic heavy metals and essential trace elements are found in hair levels many times higher than those found in any other tissues, therefore hair can be used as an indicator of long-term mineral and toxic metal exposure.
Sample Requirements: 0.5-1gm (2 tablespoons) of clean hair.
Patient Requirements: Only hair nearest the scalp and at the nape of the neck should be used. Please use Johnson & Johnson's 'No More Tears' shampoo 2 weeks prior to collecting hair samples. The test should not be performed on hair that has been permed, dyed or bleached in the past two months. If there is no untreated hair, it is best to wait until new growth is available. Hair grows approximately 1/2 inch per month.
